Green & Yellow Sunrise

green eggs and ham
to start out my day
that's not for me...but
Dr. Seuss, this I will say

a green and yellow sunrise
will help brighten my morn'
and keep that Grinch away
better than any hedge thorn

first I will stroll in the yellow sunrise
then home for orange juice
and scrambled eggs...that aren't green
my dear, Dr. Seuss

ham does sound good
so on this we agree
then I will top it all off
with a cup of green tea

then maybe when breakfast
is over and done
I will grab a good book
and sit out in the sun

I know just the book
that I think I should read...
Green Eggs and Ham
now sounds yummy to me~

(my poem and paintings are inspired by Dr. Seuss and his book Green Eggs and Ham)
