Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down...

not true!!! Love the song AND I love rainy days and now that I'm retired, Mondays are just another day!

walking in  the mysterious haze
mystery abounds without the sun's burning blaze
as ghostly trees dance in the rain
the fog creeps nearer as my eyes they strain
to see what creatures are hiding there
I hurry along as my heart beats...beware~

  1. Beautiful painting and words, and very fitting as we had a rainy and grey Monday here. Off to put my feet up, the day at the clinic was long! BIG Hugs, Valerie

It's cloudy here, no rain and it felt like the perfect day to post these paintings and my poem :)

  4. More beautiful paintings! The first almost looks like it is embroidered of rich threads! I just love the glowing colors. And, walk in the rain is one of the joys of life, and so I just LOVE the second painting as well.

  5. These are so beautiful and relaxing. I don't mind rainy days unless I have to drive through them! But if I'm at home, they're perfect for snuggling up with a good book and dozing off :)

  7. Love what you wrote and love the paintings. I'm the say way - retirement brings a contentment with rainy days - whereas when I use to work I couldn't wait for the weekend hoping it would be sunny and bright.

Sunny and bright is nice, too... but as you said you don't have to hope for it on your days off anymore šŸ’•

  10. Rainy days are fine when they are singular. Two or three days can definitely get you down. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday ..., they are all the same to me now.

    The pictures are lovely.

  11. Absolutely beautiful, Jan. I love the rain, too. It's magical in its own way, washing away the harshness of life to birth forth something new and beautiful when the sun shines again. :)
